“ANSLEY H FOX CHAMPIONSHIP” WINNERS ANNOUNCEDThe A H Fox Collectors Association is pleased to announce our 2010 Championship winners. This was our third annual Championship competition held September 24-25 in conjunction with the Vintage Cup at Pintail Point in Queenstown, MD. Our Championship was offered as a “Concurrent” with the Vintagers American Classic venue, for shooters using Ansley H Fox designed shotguns. The event consisted of 10 shooting stations with 50 targets on Pintail Point’s Red Course. Some 145 shooters competed in the venue this year.
Frank Srebro “Silvers” of Pennsylvania bested all other Fox competitors with a score of 44/50 targets, and he was named our 2010 Ansley H Fox Champion. Frank fielded a 12 gauge Fox AE-grade shotgun. This is a third year win for Frank who also took the Ansley H Fox Champion title for the past two years.
Dan Barrett of Michigan was our event Runner-Up with a score of 40/50, and he received our 2010 “FE Grade Champion” award. Dan took third place in our competition last year. For 2010 he used a 12 gauge Fox Sterlingworth.
Special mention is made that George Griscom from New Jersey also achieved a score of 40/50; and the cut for Runner-Up was made by Pintail Point course management using established tie-breaker stations and competition scoring software. The first tie-breaker station was #5 where Dan Barrett prevailed.
In addition to the Trophy winners, the A H Fox Collectors awarded special recognition prizes to two shooters chosen by public draw from the third through eight highest Fox scores. Note that multiple entries were permitted.
