Bought it today. My wife has our only working camera and is out of town until next Friday, so good pics won't come until next weekend (might try to borrow one from my neighbor) You know, take advantage of my new found picture posting abilities.

Congratulations on buying the gun. I'm glad you were able to get it. I thought the same as Dave K.

I saw a BHE 12 at a small auction the other day with an estimate of 1500-2500... thought to myself that seemed darn low to me but did not bid... of course that was the estimate and it could have easy sold for $10K... i did not check back... I would have put more effort into it but it was literally the morning of the auction when I found it and there was basically no description and one or two crappy pics... I'll see if I can dig it up... I also saw a DHE 20 somewhere but can not remember where

Found it... sold for $3000... straight stock, skeleton butt... the auction site now only has one TINY crappy pic... I will see if I can find a better one to post but would rather not share the auction company...

Well I now feel comfortable updating about this Parker. This has been a good learning experience. I do have the gun and it is in the vault. But along the way I learned that there are alot of people out there who would go to great lengths to have swiped this gun out from underneath me. Several (3-4 according to the owner of the shop) of our esteemed brethren here at the BBS went back through old posts and found where I had mentioned this gunshop and it's location in the past regarding other guns and tried to entice the shop to break thier deal with me for some added money. Continued calling the shop and leaving multiple messages on Sunday & Monday (the days they are closed)I am thankful that they are very good people at this shop. My $2000 deposit was enough to hold it until the next business day. Anyway, No Harm Done! I did learn that it is worth at least $3500 to someone (that was the highest phone offer). Just filed the whole experience away as part of the learning curve.

I also learned that good deals still do exist... even for smucks like me.
