I have a Webley & Scott 20 Ga made in 1960 with 2 3/4" chambers that is stamped on the barrel flats " 3 1/2 Tons "

I've been using Win AA Super Sport Sporting Clays shells with 7/8 oz 7 1/2 Shot in my Mdl 21 and Benelli.

Is the pressure too high with the AA shells to use safely in my Webley & Scott 20?

Thanks

The Webley should be fine, check the cartridge box for pressures and information. A good rule of thumb to use with cartridges is if it kicks YOU, your gun isn't liking it either.

You might want to back down to standard target AA's rather than the Super Sports, more for a reduction in recoil than in pressure. (The Sporting Clays loads are higher velocity.) Those Scotts are pretty light to handle hot loads, especially if you're shooting many targets.

Thanks for the replys

My main concern is the pressure issue. The box does not say what the chamber pressure is and I don't want to shoot the shells if they are going to cause problems down the road with my gun.

I only use the Webley shooting Dove and Quail which is usually less than a case during the hunting season.

Thanks
