Someone gave me a garbage bag full of Winchester hulls. They are compression formed hulls. The super X look just like the Uplands only high brass. Can I treat these hulls like 6point AAs for reloading data purposes?

Yes,they are the same hull. The only diffrence is the 6 point crimp that was heat sealed. When you reload them you can seal the hole with a drop of wax. I've seen the Uplands and super x with 8 point crimps also.

You will learn to hate that little hole!! Otherwise, first rate hulls. May not last up to expectations as they are fairly old and may have had some storage issues.

Recently got back into reloading, this time 16 ga. 2 1/2" low pressure and also some 12 ga. low pressure.
Back in the 70's and early 80's I used to reload a lot of 20 ga. Win. AA. We used to keep all of our shells after shooting, and I remember reloading some of those early AA's at least 10-12 times a piece. The only problem was that the primer hole after that many times would get reamed out and the primer you could push in by hand. The crimps stayed nice. Still have a case and a half from back then. Used Win. 209 primers, Win. AA wads, and Win.473 AA powder. Forget the powder charge, I'm sure I still have the old Winchester pamplet around. Also reloaded some hunting shells using I believe 571 powder, and #6 and 7 1/2 shot.
Also reloaded 28 ga, mostly in Winchester Expert, I believe, but they didn't hold up as well as the 20 ga AA's.
