I'm not interested in buying one of these, but I have heard nothing mentioned anywhere in the shooting publications or forums about this gun, and nothing is available on Gamba's website that I could find. Just curious after seeing this:

Probably made by Fabarm or some other Italian maker of autoloaders.

"All: We are very excited to announce that American Shooting Centers has made an arrangement to be the only dealer in the Southern U.S. to carry the new Renato Gamba 28 gauge auto loader! What is so special about these guns is that they are built on a STEEL 20 GAUGE FRAME"

A steel 20 gauge frame for a 28 gauge shotgun, what's so special about that? Talk about carries like a 12 and hits like a 20!! Need a true 28 gauge steel rated shotgun, Ruger builds one and so does Ithaca on an actual 28 gauge frame!! Both are sweet!!

Come on John, a 28 gauge built on a 20 gauge frame is not exactly what you want, right? And I find it hard to believe its only 5lbs. 12 ozs.

Several incongruities here; a 28 ga on a steel 20 ga receiver is "so special"? AND it weighs 5 lb. 12 oz? A steel-frame 20 ga gun would probably be closer to 7 lb than 6. $1895 is astonishing? Well, I guess it is, but not in a "good" way, especially when a nice Franchi can be had for $1K less.

The only "claim to fame" I see here is the 30" barrel, and that's unusual, but not unheard of. It's certainly not worth the price of admission to this gun, IMHO.

If I were inclined to spend that kind of $$ on a 28 ga auto, it would be the new Benelli.

Assuming this gun actually exists (no pics/formal announcements yet), it appears to be yet another answer to the question no one asked...
