Rookhawk:
For those that are buying only floral girly engraving and consider that to be the number one priority....so be it,
obviously you are NOT mechanically inclined and do NOT do your own work or you would know........from the gunsmiths perspective, an LC Smith of any grade locks up like a bank vault.....
I own and shoot most brands, but the LC Smith is really a treasure and it's mechanical quality beats the rest.......of course we all have our own opinions..........some like lots and lots of parts so there are lots and lots of stuff to break.........just an opinion, right.........
And this one is just for you Rookhawk....Factory Original 100% Cyanide Colors from Fox in 1929... cyanide done the right way...Best,
Doug,
I'll hand it to you, your Steringworth does ave nice, subtle CCH. I was not aware that was even cyanide. I have an aversion to the smeary, drippy cyanide a see on repro wild west guns so that was what I was thinking.
I still stand by my rude insult of Elsie's. I saw one recently that had four guys on it tat absolutely looked like they were in a barbershop quartet. I laughed out loud at how "Vaudvelilian" it looked.
If Elsies are so mechanically superior, why didn't anyone copy the locks off patent as has been done to Holland, Fox, Dickson and others?
