Was the OO every offered with damascus bbls? I had been under the impression it only came with steel bbls. Could be an O, Though.

You are correct Miller. When introduced in 1898 the 00 had Armour (later Armor) steel barrels. The 0 acquired London steel in 1907. If it was an employee's gun, it could of course have any barrel.

And BTW the sideplate ducks are quite different from those on the Specialty grade

I am sure it will make some cowboy shooter happy at about a fourth the price.

Lets face it, not everyone enjoys a vintage gun.

Besides who would want a classic boucing under a pick up seat or knocking through buck brush. Whoever cut it had some special purpose in mind or a burst barrel.
