Far as I know, what 2holer posted is right on the money. The gun he linked is a carbon copy of mine, listed in the for sale section (except mine's a 12). Every one of the Beretta-made Daly Empires I've seen had the same features: PG, nonselective ST, semi-BT with a roller-type release, low vent rib. They also have a PB in an oval on the barrel flats, which is the Beretta maker's mark.
There's nothing out there more confusing than the whole Daly mess. There are, of course, the superb Prussian Dalys. And then, in the more modestly-priced category (but still nice guns), you have Miroku-made Dalys and the Beretta-made Daly Empire Grade. As 2holer said, there are other Italian-made Dalys not by Beretta, as well as Daly sxs made in Spain. And prior to WWII, there were Daly-marked, Merkel-looking OU's made in Belgium that look a whole lot like Francottes. Confusing.
