Joe, It's not on your list but I'd be interested if you had a #2 Octagon or round barrel for a high/low wall. The perfect barrel would be ugly on the inside and sweet on the outside (sorta like me?:))
Also need a .22rf extractor for a wall. One with "the bump" for the kicker spring.
Doesn't look look like I have any stuff on your "want" list though.

Joe,
Could you explain your Krag action preference?
Thanks

Jerry, thanks anyway but I'm trying to replace an 03A3 body with a smooth-sided 03 one on a custom rifle. Good smooth 1903 receiver but rough 03A3-type bolt body. That's why a bent one is OK, the existing one is already bent. Haven't received the Noske stuff yet, will let you know via PM when more info is available. I bought it under the pretense of it being in VG-Exc condition but.....
1878, you can color me paranoid but it's the 'pre-98 antique' thing. With essentially very little or no difference in strength between the 1896 and 1898 models, I opt for the early model as being less likely to encounter any future federal restrictions. If I already had a 98 model then I wouldn't trade it but now, being actionless, I have the choice (grin). Like I say, you can color me paranoid but it makes me happier.
Brent, both my #2 low wall bbls are pristine inside. One is an original back-bored 22LR similar to yours and the other is a new GM K-Hornet, sorry.
BTW Brent you're funny too but like I tell one of my other friends, looks aren't everything!(VBG) Regards, Joe

Yeah, I know about that looks thing. But it's a cross we have to bear.
How does that back bore do for you? I'm obviously looking to make another. A friend in San Diego liked mine so much he made one as well. It shoots just as well as a mine. Amazing how well that works.

Brent, I did 2 22LR back bores, 1 with 28" #2 octagon and the other with 24" #1 octagon turned to 1/2 round for super light weight. Both with 10" bores, both are tack drivers compared to the full-length barrels I've tried. Regards, Joe

Joe if you don't mind telling, what size/diameter do you back bore the barrel's & do you use a piloted reamer or drill the back bore? I will dig in my parts bin this afternoon for a 03 bolt, think all I have left is the rough WWII 03A3 replacement ones. Mike, I am going to bet that he did it like I had mine done. Bore out the barrel to about 0.6" or so, then insert a turned and crowned barrel of your choice (mine is 17" of Lilja) and glue or solder in place. Just a short liner on steroids. Shoots ridiculously well.

Thank you BrentD, more of a Bloop tube barrel, I noted Joe used very short sections of barrel any particular reason for that? I have 10-12" of T.J.'s 3/8" 22rf liner from another project and an old M44 shortened at muzzle 1/2" barrel that has a nice shank and threads but a really rough outside, plus a off center 5/16" diameter short chamber liner? I will drill it through .377" and install that piece of liner, chamber it and see what happens, nice project and best of all no $ only some time involved! Thanks again, Mike Brent, I did 2 22LR back bores, 1 with 28" #2 octagon and the other with 24" #1 octagon turned to 1/2 round for super light weight.
