I hit the mother load the other day with this magazine. I've been trying to complete my collection of the last five or so years 1918-1923.

I found and bought for a very good price 192 copies 32 issues of the 1917 year; 45 issues of 1918 year; 42 issues of 1919 year; 21 issues of 1920 year; 22 issues of the 1921 year; 21 issues of the 1922 year, and 9 issues of the 1923 year.

I can use about half of them and the rest I would like to trade for issues that I am missing. If this fails I'll sell all the rest.

It's going to take some time to catalog them all and compare them to what I have.

I now have complete years of 1920-(need Dec 1st 1921) 1922 and 1923.

Am I the only one looking for these?

PS: I would also trade for any Outer's Book (1910-1918) that I don't have.

I'd be interested in buying some (or all) of them. I might have firearm related books or literature that might interest you.

A grand find. I have the Rifleman from its 1923 beginning into the 70s, all bound, acquired from one of the auction houses about ten years ago for $50. Plus another set, unbound, 1923 to the 70s, one issue missing. Never came across the earlier mags, but ( think they are in the NY Public Library.

The big public libraries are/were a good place to find bound volumes of magazines that are no longer published. In 1985 I bought the complete run of "Forest and Stream" through a broker for $750 with some duplicates tossed in.They were all bound and a delight to look at,but my wife had a fit when she came home and the living room was full of magazines. They were a weekly for awhile and took up a lot of room.
