Jerry,
The only Sauer made Daly I have found noted in the SD&G catalogs was the model 80. It retailed, not coincidentally, for $80 circa 1902 and was listed in the catalog for only a few years. The catalog write up notes that the "maker of Daly drillings" was producing this model due to the demand for the other Daly SxS models out pacing the ability of their "factory" to supply them. When the model 80 was added to the Daly SxS line-up it became the lowest model/grade Daly SxS at the time. The previous base model was the model 118 which retailed for $125. The scalloped frame (model 118) is the easiest way to tell these two Daly models apart. The model 80 looks very "Sauer like".
You noted in your post that the Daly made Sauer guns you were looking at had ejectors. The model 80 featured a dolls head extension and extractors. So the presence of ejectors is something new.
Just to be clear, Sauer provided most, if not all, of the Daly drillings. SD&G also sold Sauer made SxS guns, but these were marked as Sauers. And it is believed Sauer was involved in providing some of the forgings and other pieces that were eventually became "Lindner Dalys." It is clear that Lindner/SD&G and Sauer had a close and evolving relationship. That all said, the only SD&G catalog reference I have seen to a Sauer Daly is the model 80. A few of these have popped up for sale recently. Their value seems to be in line with the corresponding Sauers of the same model and condition, with maybe a little premium for the Daly name.
