"Colonel" Baker is a bit of a character and autodidact. Personally, I enjoyed meeting him and felt the gunfitting was worth while. Also had a pad fitted. Quality of the work was fine and completed overnite. I could have taken exception to the fact that he shortened the stock a bit more than needed because he had only a very thick Kick Eez pad in stock. Matter of interpretation; I let it go. On a gun where the length of original wood matters, some might not.

I have looked at a number of their guns over the years, and for one reason or another, have elected not to keep them. But returns/refunds have never been a problem, as long as notification was within the agreed upon inspection period.

I finally did purchase a really nice 2" 12b from them this summer. The gun had an issue, but we worked it out, and I felt that I was treated fairly.

I agree that their prices seem steep, but I really like this gun, and have never seen another one quite like it. So I am pleased with it.

Since my experience with them I don't even look at their website.

I have never bought a gun from Glenn but all my other experiences with Woodcock Hill have been nothing but 100% positive. I've bought many accessories over the years, had a gun inspected by them, had fitting and smithing done and spent three days there a few years ago for their excellent wing and clay shooting school.
