Those with Parker Repro experience won't all agree, but I too believe the configuration of that particular gun puts it in a less favorable position in today's market. There are some problems with the SST, so that's an issue. 28" barrels would be better, as would a straight/splinter combination. But, at least according to the Blue Book, we're talking only 100 20ga BHE's out there, compared to 6,000 DHE's. You might get lucky and find a collector who wants to add a pretty rare gun to his collection.

always learn something on here. I didn't know the BHE's were hand engraved, thought they were all macine built. sweet. Dev,
I just can't see spending either $8999 or $12,500 for a Parker REPRO. It has 26" barrel, which are well out of favor. I would prefer to spend more and get a minty original with 30" barrels. I think that the REPRO is worth $4500 retail. But, I wouldn't buy it at that price, because there are so many better guns in that price range.
Phil It's a BHE, not the much more common DHE, Reproduction. I would say a gun such as yours should start at $9000 at least. The BHE Repros were hand engraved. Very nice piece, especially in your configuration. JR

I would also start the gun at $6900 and be happy with $6500. I am not so sure the B's were hand engraved; maybe "chased" at best. Configuration is not most desireable and market is still soft.
A Springer Spaniel, a 6# double and a fair day to hunt.

I would have to challenge Phil to find me a 20g original Parker BHE with 30" barrels for anywhere close to $8999 or a Repro Parker BHE in any barrel length for $4500. I'll buy as many as he can find me. Remember only 100 or so were made. The Parker Reproductions are very well made and still desirable by many. The market is very soft right now and a repro DHE 20g sold last week on gunbroker for $2800, a very good price for the buyer in my opinion.

The configuration of this gun-btfe, sst, pg-is the most desirable of the Repros. JR

The configuration of this gun-btfe, sst, pg-is the most desirable of the Repros. JR Disagree. Most people after a "classic", or a reproduction of same, seem to prefer DT's--especially given the problems with the Repro's SST. (Usually not serious, but problems nevertheless.) However, it's a less common configuration with the BT, which might make it desirable to a collector.

Over the years, I've bought and sold probably 10 or twelve Repros. This configuration is the most sought after. Also true for Originals. It's also why the Win. 21 has such a cult following.
Problems with Repro single triggers are miniscule, but get a lot of play. JR

I want to buy a nice rifle so I think I'm going to do 1 in / 1 out. I looked all over the internet and only found 1 that was a single barrel gun like mine, $8999.00 on a gun dealers website. 2 barrell sets are listing online for 12,500.00.
I know listed price isn't selling price but what is reasonable?
Orig hard case, snapcaps, etc. I've never fired it, may not have ever been fired. #20-0021, SST, SSBP, BTFE, CPG, 26" bbl, .007/.004. How is it marked for chokes? If it is Q1 and Q2, really good. JR
