For years I have been the owner of a very nice System Aydt Schützen rifle I "inherited" from my friend and former business associate, the late Harry Creighton, gunsmith. Unfortunately, as is often the case, the rifle and its sights had become separated at the moment of "liberation" from its previous owner at the end of World War II.
Last weekend I took the rifle to the Ohio Gun Collectors Association gun show with the intention of selling it. Instead, I came away with a set of sights for it.
Unfortunately, the rear sight has quite a bit of play in the windage slide. I wonder whether anyone can point me toward a craftsman capable of restoring this sight to its original working order.
