Anyone familiar with this? I am guessing it is a single bladed trigger that works like the two set triggers often found on German-Austrian Mauser and Mannlicher-Schoenaur rifles--

I still see them for sale on ebay quite often, they usually run about $275. Models for 98 Mausers and 1903 Springfields and occasionally Model 70's. HTH Jerry

At one time,Recknagel made a good "knock-off" of the Canjar.I'm not sure if they still do since they moved. The typical German/Austrian single set trigger is different than the Canjar in that it doesn't have the canjar type blade that shows when set.

I have used the Canjar single set trigger on a M70 winchester & on a Ruger #1. They work well but due to the wide, pivoting trigger shoe they are kind of ugly & out of place on a nice rifle. I've still got one for a M 70 & a Ruger #1 stuck away somewhere I think.

BTW the "set shoe" can normally be used on any Canjar trigger with the removable trigger shoe.

In my opinion the traditional double or single set trigger as used by the German & Austrian makers are much nicer looking and more appropriate.

My brother has a rifle that our uncle built up on a M70 action, chambered in 270 WBY, with the Canjar single set trigger. I always liked the trigger, although I can't say I've shot the rifle much.
