I have a new/never fired V. Bernadelli 112 SI/S 12 BORE with SST, EJC, ST GRIP, IC/IM. I would like opinions as to the value of this shotgun. I purchased it years ago from a high end store GOING OUT OF BUSINESS and I am thinking about selling it. Opinions

Well, Mr. Blue Book says a Roma 6E 98% is worth $1150; yeah right. Try 2k

There are some strange bumps in that Blue Book listing for just adding ejectors. Not very consistent. The 112's were late guns before Bernie closed its doors. If you can do as well on that gun as the Roma 3E price suggested, I'd think you're doing pretty well.

this was a lower end gun. Not to compete with the roma series. This gun was after Ciso Bernardelli retired and they hired Pino Benetti to replace him. I look at these and decide not to import them

I don't see any difference between the 112 gun and its quality and a Roma 6 [I own one made in 1992] except the faux side plate action and the style and amount of engraving. Maybe I'm wrong but they look like they came out of the same shop. Either way I wouldn't call this a lower end gun, compared to some of the Spanish offerings. Jerry

Cape outfitters imported the p. bernardelli it was made by rota luciano., when the euro was 90 cents. It had case hardened action screw in chokes and they blew some of them out for $575. They were great guns.

I have those in 12, 20, and 28 gauges, and I agree. The only flaw at those prices was that the wood needed a bit more oil, easily remedied. A friend took one on a Louisiana duck hunt and wound up selling it to one of the locals for twice what he had in it. Still, not as nice as a VB.

Alvin, I think John means lower end compared to the other V. Bernardellis. Not that they're bad guns, just not up to the quality of the Roma guns.

I may be missing something but as I've said before, the Roma series only appears to me to be a 112 with false side plates and more engraving and a grade or so higher wood. Nothing more...nothing less! No better fit, checkering, finishing, blacking, polishing etc. I may be wrong but I grew up in a gun shop and have a pretty discerning eye.
