Anybody have them do work? They got back to me very prompt and seemed to know their work. Any thoughts?

Yes.
They built set of claw mount rings for my combination gun.
First rate work.

They just restocked and reblued a sxs for me, and I am very happy with the work. They have done other more general gunsmithing work for me as well - everything has been prompt and professional. They aren't inexpensive but you get what you pay for.

I have heard nothing but good about NECG

I have bought several guns from them, some scopes and they do my general maintenance and repairs on all my guns and have done so for many years. They are expensive but top-flight. Totally trustworthy.

I currently need some rust blueing done and I have seen their work - it's superb but several times the cost of Briley so I may go with Briley instead.

Their work is excellent and they are reliable.

NECG recently mounted a scope and claw mounts on a double rifle for me. They discussed the project with me thorougly prior to my decision to proceed with it and then carried it out to perfection faster than I expected.

I would not hesitate to have them carry out additional work in the future.

First rate, provided a written proposal, on a number of guns I had them work on...Todd Balise and Mark, the owner, ( whose last name escapes me as I type this) are very responsive as is the lady there as well....return calls and emails.....and the work is as others here have said....had a Westley Richards restored ( 11 months , not unusual) and other major and minor work for me on others. Reading some other posts on this forum I alway had concerns with UPS brown truck delivery but I live about 3 hours drive from them in NH...from Plymouth, Ma....but they have never had any shockers with that..but I suppose my deliveries are not sitting in a warehouse....you pay a little more but they are top notch....I believe they call your project like it is....you will not be disappointed.

I had them do some minor stock work for me and repair a screw. The work was excellent and done in a very timely manner. As others have said, they sent a written proposal before doing the work as well. It was not the most inexpensive work I've ever had done, but I didn't feel gouged either, and, as has been noted, you get what you pay for.

Todd has been good to work with. I've also talked to Mark Cromwell, and he was good to talk to.

I don't think you'll go wrong.

I have done a fair bit of business with NECG over the years, including a custom stock on a Merkel, and they do fine work. They also stand behind it.

I just showed this gun to my local gunsmith and he had very high praise for the work. He said their rustbluing was good enough that it looked to be original.
