Unhappy owner or speculator? Retail is reported my seller to be $7600+. These guys have nice guns but way overpriced. They take nice pics though. It's not mine. I'm still waiting for "the call". http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=336092294

Kurt Grates is known for reserve prices in the stratosphere. My Inverness isn't going to look like his. If I could get wood that looks like that, I would have gone for the upgrade. They didn't show a picture of the $700 trigger guard. That would have been a good selling point.

He has the best pictures on the Internet of an Inverness so far and I must say the lines are elegant.

The nose of the comb of this one differs in shape to others that have been posted.

Thanks for the suggestion, Phil, but $3700 is enough to pay for an Inverness. I think this gun's charm is in its lines and shape as well as the apparent handling qualities.

Does anyone have a pic of the $700 long tang? I have never seen it shown on any of the CSMC promo emails or catalogs that I have received.
I will admit to being intrigued by the gun at first, but then I realized that it's probably no better than my Beretta Silver Pigeon II, which is already paid for. Nice wood and case colors, though.

A solid rib and DTs would have made it truly irresistible . . . .
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

Can someone tell me the process they used to get the colour on trigger? It looks like a heat blue but very uniform and too purple for nitre.
