Gunwolf I have a really light weight German Stalking rifle in 8x46N, I think. I will post some photos soon and request you (and others) tell me what I have. I bought it several years ago, then quickly bought several other guns, and never explored it much. It looks real good on display in my gun room..... (But what is it????!!!!!!). Pics soon in a new post.

Texasjack,

I'm curious to see the gun - I think, Cal. 8x46N is the so called "Schützenpatrone"
other names are:

8,15x46,5 R Jagdgewehr Normal
8,15 Frohn
8,15x46 R Frohn
8,15 Harstang
8,15x46 R Normal
DWM 455
GR 553
Hirtenberg 581 H
XCR 08 046 BBC 010

"Light weight stalking rifle" sounds interesting!
We want the pics! ;-)
