There are a lot of people hurting in our state. Storms came through my area Friday and a friends house was severely damaged. Another chance of storms today as yet another front approaches. Heading to the State Sporting Clays Championship on Thursday in Guthrie (Northwest of OKC) I hope bad weather doesn't show up!!

Ken, All you folks are in our prayers....stay safe on your trip to Guthrie....... One of my best friends lives in Ardmore and bought your Beretta O/U that you had advertised on here.....they are getting some lousy weather down there he says as well...... The Oklahoma story was updated today and the experts say the El Reno tornado was the widest tornado ever recorded in history at 2.6 miles in diameter, their doppler said the wind speeds were recorded at 298 MPH..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...-2-6-MILES.htmlBest,
Doug

PA24, thanks for the clip. Much better coverage than I have found on the internet. Yes, prayers for all.

120' diameter x 44' tall Open Top Floating Roof tank we built last year in El Reno. It has moved a couple of feet off the foundation. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts! [

Ken, that's almost unbelievable! Was there anything in the tank?

Joe the tank was empty. At first glance I thought that a dike drain had been left closed and the tank floated off the foundation...but not the case. The kind of power to move this much steel is amazing. On another note NOVA presented a tornado special this week and mentioned that the St John's Hospital in Joplin was actually rotated 4" on its foundation.

Absolutely incredible forces involved here! I understand how a house or other building disintegrate but that storage tank is something else! And being circular it has a degree of aerodynamic flow. Wow!
