Insert barrels are nothing new. Remington and others offered them before 1900. I have one such insert for a 12 ga. gun chambered in .40-50 Sharps BN. One problem with inserts is that the shotgun firing pins are not suitable for use without bushing them down to a smaller diameter suitable for the higher pressure of modern rifle cartridges.

That's an interesting system Skeettx. Do they have anything in one of the bigger rounds like .375 or .470?

Mike, 2-Piper is splitting hairs...
Technically by definition a monoblock is one piece, so a shoelump, chopper lump, or other means of fixing barrels together cant be a monoblock, by definition.

that being said you can cut the barrels off in front of the watertable and use the existing cut-off in the same way as a monoblock, sleeving barrels into it.

Paradox,
In addition to Keppler, there are Zimmermann Waffen oHG;Keller+Simmann,www,einstecklauf.de.These firms can supply full length einstecklaufs(EL) which are adjustable at the muzzle, in major calibers(also smaller)up to .375 H&H (I would recommend 9.3x74R instead).Naturally, the more powerful ELs are installed only in stronger actions, and they include O/Us.
In common calibers, they are installed in drillings(making double rifle drilling).
Firm Henneberger, henneberger.de,can supply similar ELs in smaller calibers up to 6x70R.

Thank you Der Ami! This is what I was looking for! How is the action tested before shooting? In a vise? Would the Beretta 68x action be strong enough for this? Thanks again.

The British called it Sleeving, some didn't like that term & began calling it Monblocking, which was even more in error than was Sleeving. When you bore out the chamber & insert a turned blank then the old stub is Sleeved, but it sure didn't turn into a monoblock. Nothing wrong that I see in keeping terminology to its correct meaning. there is simply no way three, four or more pieces brazed together meet the definition of Mono.
