I though I'd update everyone here:

I stopped in to Dillon's yesterday to buy some reloading components and they had what I needed in stock and it appears from talking to their staff that the "shortage" is largely over. However don't expect a return to pre-shortage pricing anytime soon.

Thanks Jim. The one big supplier close to me has had most components available. I found the best thing was to call them, if they had it I would tell them to put it on hold until the next day when I would pick it up.
Their pricing has increased some in the primers, Winchesters are now $32.99/k used to be $29.99. I don't know why Remington is so high, but they now ruined it for me as I will now use a different primer.

Most reloading components are available in St. Louis -- except a few popuar shotgun powders like Hodgdon's CLAYS...

David,

Would that be Shyda's? I made the hour+ drive to them several times since the shortage began and they typically had the components I needed every time.

Cheers,
Marcus

All the clays are currently out of production until spring due to a production issue at Hodgdon. I hear it was a dryer fire, but I don't know that.

I heard the same story from a factory rep at the World Skeet Championships. Red Dot is made in the states and is much cleaner than it used to be. It is also cheaper!

ClayDot is also made in US, and can be used as a direct substitute for Clays.

What is the deal about being dirty. If it bothers you shoot, the last shell of the day with a cleaner burning powder, or better yet don't look.
After you clean the gun you won't know the difference.
