That might be hard to find- Now- Laphroaig might work- I won a fifth of that single malt and found it took the rust right smack off my Reese Hitch on my Jeep Liberty- and the rest I poured on the any hills in the expansion cracks in the driveway last August- killed them deader than snakeshit too- Me, I'll take Bushmills, Ezra Brooks, Wild Turkey 101 and George Dickel please. Scotch single malts are way over-rated and way more over-priced, IMO!!

Fox, I happen to really enjoy a good single malt and have quite an assortment. Islays, Highlands, Speysides etc. But you are right about the price. I haven't paid for one in years. All my family and friends know it is a no-lose Christmas or birthday gift. And I couldn't be happier.

But should anyone wonder, I sure won't turn my nose up at a nice bourbon now and then.

That is a beautiful gun, for a real Christmas price!
Enjoy it.

No, Gunwolf, after more than a month of waiting I only got a message from Frankonia that the Famars was sold to another person who reserved it previosly... But on a brighter side, Santa brought me a Josef Hambrusch double rifle instead.

With kind regards,
Jani

My dad had the generosity to give me a 1918 vintage Fox Sterlingworth, wood could use a bit of help, but a solid shooting and tight old Fox nonetheless. Surprisingly, the old gun has modern stock dimensions, on par with the Ithaca 37 my grandfather gave me, and less drop and slightly longer LOP than my current shooter, a '46 early Marlin era L.C. Smith. Took it out for a round of skeet and did fairly well, despite my poor quality 2 1/2" reloads from cut down remington gun club shells.
