Here is the rough draft of the latest project from my studio. As the title suggests, it is a 12 gauge, fully rifled slug gun using Hastings rifled blanks. It started as a badly buffed and reblued Sterlingworth ejector with cut barrels. It is in the rough-polished stage and the butt and forend are pattern pieces.
If the temperature ever gets above freezing I'll take it to the range to regulate the barrels and file the sights.

The original walnut and lots of epoxy. This stock and forend are patterns for the actual pieces. The English walnut blank that I have reserved for this gun is pretty nice.

Simply amazing work, Dewey. I think this is a great idea and project. Only thing I would say in criticism is a "no" on the peep sight; really superfluous on a slug gun, but sure is different. I would also suggest the possibility of a very trim and shallow beavertail forend.

Please keep the photos coming as work progresses.
