Today was the last Saturday for wild quail. So in honor of that, here's a video and some photos I put together of past hunts.

We ended the wild bird season on great note. 4 big coveys in 2 short hours. Talk about short and sweet!

Hope you enjoy!

Here is the video

Me and my two mutts, Rusty and Copper.

Big live oaks and tall pines = Beautiful quail woods.

Starting them young.

Yours truly watching the dogs work.

My little Cousin on his first hunt.

A very nice bag of wild bobwhites. My 80-year old guest worked harder than my britts I think!

Good show Adam!!! You sure do take great pictures! Wish my skills were half of yours. Got me wanting to get out, but 6 months to go!

Thanks!

Excellent gun handling. On most TV quail and pheasant hunting shows, I'm looking for a person or a dog to get shot. In Adam's video, we can concentrate on the birds.

Two quotes come to mind-- "The field is the touchstone of the man (and boy)" and "It takes a gentleman to approach another gentleman"-- Thanks for sharing, and the muzzles up and proper attention to good gunning manners ( a book Dick Cheney missed reading) are in evidence as well. What is the gauge amd make of that swell looking hammer double please???
