Is it possible to bend the stock on a French Charlin SXS? I would like to buy the gun but just to much drop!

There is no center rod in the wrist of a Charlin. It is this steel rod, wood screw threads on the outside, and machine screw threads on the inside, that frustrate bending of a Darne stock. There is a good picture of what you are up against, with a Darne, here:

That big steel rod isn't a Charlin feature. That is the good news.
Having said that, I've seen many Charlins that have cracked wood in the wrist. The great majority of those have the semi-pistol grip. If the gun features a straight stock, it would likely be easier.

If the stock is bendable but at risk with a semi-pistol grip you could possibly resculpt it into a straight stock like I did with a Rossi SXS that I put up several years ago on this board as my Sow�s Ear Project. The only tools it took to was a sharp pocket knife and sandpaper. You could then bend it after resculpting it. I will admit though, those Brazilians at Rossi gave me a lot of wood to work with
