Larry if you could afford a high grade American classic I doubt three bucks a shell would bother you.
Working mens doubles like nitro specials with open chokes should be OK and if ruined they are not great money loss. Screw up a Ce or HE grade Fox and the salt water would get a little saltier with tears.
Might not for hunting, KY Jon--although I've had seasons when I've gone through the better part of a couple flats, upland birds only. So if there were a general nontox requirement for all hunting . . . $3 a shell vs 50 cents a shell (or less) for maybe 400 shells, I'd notice $1,000. (Just like I noticed this winter, when I paid almost $4/gal for LP.) But where I'd really notice would be if lead were also banned for target shooting.
