I found this picture posted on another forum. It was taken in downtown Detroit! Large areas of that City are apparently reverting to the wild. Jim

I suspect most of the hunting done there is by the Federal Marshals Service....
We have wildlife moving in from the wild areas around here--they have figured out where all the water is! It amuses me to hear my suburban neighbors discuss the Coyote Menace! Stephen King meets Hans Christian Andersen!
Sadly, no phez yet, but all the quail have moved in with us. Actually they are very good neighbors!

Remember proper form when hunting pheasants in Detroit is to hold the gun sideways. CHAZ

My own neighborhood is overrun with Gambels Quail. The suburban environment seems perfect for them with ample food, water and a minimun number of predators. I often times flush a covey simply by opening the front door. I wonder what would happen if you asked your stockfitter to set your double up for shooting "Gangsta Style!" Jim

Game living in backyards is a common thing many places. Last night a doe with two fawns slept less than 20 feet outside my bedroom window. They sleep about 50 feet away on the other side of the back yard but last night that area had to other does in it. My house is in a heavily settled area with roads everywhere. You should see the wild turkey that comes around in the Spring time. Had him come almost inside the garage last year by calling him in. When he saw me he flew away all of about a hundred feet. Then went back to looking for love.

Jim - I am surprised to hear about Gambel's quail in the suburbs. Housecats wiped out suburban California quail decades ago.

A good SXS pellet gun will keep the cats under control.
