Is anyone familiar with the Ithaca #2 Special ,which is Stamped " Pigeon Gun " on the right barrel ,and has " Krupp Fluid Steel " stamped on the left ,The little I can find out about these guns ,it seems they were being built when Damascus barrels were prominent and the Krupp Fluid Steel made this a " Special / " Pigeon Gun " ? If you know of this gun would you please give me some information on the gun ,I am interested in knowing how many were manufactured and from what year they started manufacture to when they stopped ,and where a fellow could purchase a letter on one this gun . Thank You for any information you may be able to help me with ! OOhay

From the beginning of hammerless Ithaca doubles, the Ithaca No. 2 had Damascus barrels, and was a $60 list price gun --

In the early years of the 20th Century, before The Great War, Ithaca offered the No. 2 with Krupp barrels at a list price of $70 --

These guns actually had much lower Net Selling Prices. In 1915, the No. 2 was $42.75 and the No. 2 Krupp Pigeon was $49.87. Later in 1915 Ithaca Gun Co. went to their new engraving patterns. As The Great War cut off the supply of twist and Damascus tubes from Europe, every catalogue from then until the December 1919 showed changes in grades and barrel materials offered. Later in 1915, Ithaca was offering their No. 1 1/2 with the new engraving pattern the option of Krupp barrels --
