do not feel bad. I can not tell you how many times some individual calls me for a gun that they have for sale. I ask them what they know about it. They generally no nothing about the gun, but they alsways seem to know what its worth. Many times it comes with a story when I ask them the how much they want for it. I really do not see how when they tell me that their great grandmother shot turkeys of the back pourch for sunday dinner that they think that sould influenece the price, and make it more valuable.

it would be nice if all buyers were willing to pay a fair retail price and all sellers were asking a fair retail price? but then, greed and ego do not allow for that.
keep it simple and keep it safe...

I have wanted to write a book on all the crazy funny things that have happened to me as a retailer and people in others industries dealing with people. I need to start writing these stories down .

Couldn't agree more John. What really annoys me are the guys that are trying to tie some shooting icon into the sale of the gun. Once the name dropping starts I excuse myself. I prefer the price of guns that were owned by mere mortals.....

Is it me or have the gun shows around Michigan become more of a "Look what I have but I don't want to sell it." type of show. Or the prices are so far out of the normal that no one will buy them.
