Hello See attached photos sent by a fellow DGS member. (Perly88, Albuquerque, NM) He is asking for comments from the group if anyone has seen gun engraving similar to this style and who the engraver might have been. Could this have been a Pachmayr upgrade? Any comments appreciated.

Can't say, but there are some similarities. Good looking stuff. http://www.hallowellco.com/rudolph_kornbrath.htm
Out there doing it best I can.

Idk but it's nice. Be nice to get screws timed. Pretty gun.

Engraving typical of Suhl, Germany or someone trained in Suhl. Possibly a Pachmayr because they sent some guns to Germany. I doubt this was done by Kornbrath as he was Austrian and though the styles are similar there are differences.

I can't recall the issue, but you may wish look up an article in a past Double Gun Journal featuring the Houston McBain Model 21; a gun that was custom engraved and presented to Mr. McBain on his retirement. That gun was thought to have been engraved by Arnold Griebel; and the floral work on the floor plate of the gun above is the exact same style as is featured on the McBain Model 21.
