Browning is once again going to do a very limited production run of the 16 ga guns. These will be only in the White Lightning and the Grand Lightning. I have placed a order for these and if is like before, I will see these in the fall. They have been great in the past and expect the same this time.

They have done very well. 16ga OU's aren't all that easy to come by.

If Browning wanted to do something really nice that would sell with this run of 16 ga. Citoris, and it wouldn't require any extra tooling, would be doing the Gran Lightning with a Superlight forend and round-knob pg, and a level vent rib instead of the ramped version. You might ask, John.

Rizzini is also doing a very nice 16 ga on its own frame size. I sold quite a number of these and they have built some special guns for me.
They are more than the Citoris though. But have more features and engraving

These 16 gauge Citoris are very nice indeed. I have a Superlight (steel frame), with 28" barrels, and love it. They are real scaled frame guns. And this from a guy who is normally luke warm on Browning over/unders.
The only thing I needed in the way of after market stuff were some Briley chokes. The factory chokes are notoriously quite far off in performance and constriction than they are marked.

Those sell briskly on second hand market bringing premium prices. If they made a pile of them this would not be the case and new ones would become permanent display in new gun racks. A manager at large LGS is fond of saying "they always ask for something recently discontinued or no longer made".
