Now that is one nice rifle! Are you planning on some engraving?
My 400/360 Fraser's forend has a bit of a concave underside just in front of the action and then a straight taper out to the end. Certainly not as pronounced as a Jeffery Farquharson but it does slim the profile nicely. The only flats on the forend are just a little around the lever pivot.

I saw one of these at Glenn's ACGG booth during the DSC convention a few years back. It is only action that I thought would just look at home mounted on a pedestal and sitting on the corner of my desk. No need to barrel or stock. It is just as well done on the inside as outside. I am not sure about the availability, as I have to many projects to entertain the idea. But it is one of those things worth doing. Very nice!! Thanks for sharing!!

Doug, The forend looks great, like the rest of the rifle. Mike

I have one of Steve Earl's Fraser actions and it is just magnificent. Long story, but the inside is a marvel of machining. I have barreled mine with Glen Fewless's help and the only tricky part is making the extractor cut. Steve Earl supplies excellent instructions and a template in plastic to use as a guide. This is one fine action - truly a marvelous thing. Buy one and enjoy it for the rest of your life.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that I have handled Doug Mann's rifle and it truly is something special. Just as Glenn Fewless is an artist in metal, Doug Mann is an artist in wood. These guys are the very best of the very best.
