Not only farmers but how about coal miners? I know for certain my grandfather had a Meridan double from Sears and Roebuck's, only gun he owned. My grandmother who always called it, 'That old black thing in the cellar" threw it out with the trash in the weekly pickup. A shame.
My uncle from Smock Pa, also had a field grade Ithaca NID as well as his brothers and father, a few only had single shots, but all coal miners.

I'd also like to discuss the type of doubles that anti-gun trolls like Jagermeister own. The answer is none.
He did brag about having a semi-auto AKM 7.62X39, and even posted pictures of it. But last week, he admitted that he was only renting the gun. I didn't even know you could rent a gun. That's the kind of success that "Hope and Change" and proudly voting for Obama twice got him?
I'm sorry that dal and Rick wish to live in some fantasy land and believe everything they read on the internet.

Thank you for the spelling correction. You are correct, these were different men as well as women in those times. I still have boxes of paper shells for those guns, no they are not for sale. On another more somewhat controversial note, those hard working solid Americans did not use words such as transgender, politically correct, assisted suicide, gay rights, legal abortion, sexting, free handout, I could go on and on. I miss those times and I wish that our existing American shotgun manufacturers would forget about money and again make good quality affordable double guns again. Just my opinion

BTW, I voted Conservative in the last two elections, probably will do so again. My vote goes to the candidate, not mearly a steadfast ideology.

Please accept my most sincere apology to you. This is a great site but there are times that individuals get a little heated. Again I am truely sorry for any harsh comments that may have been conveyed by me to you. You live in the great state of Michigan and I have many solid friends there.
