Spring season has opened. A little bit geese on Sat and on this Sunday. I shot 5 geese from my double, my friend Sporting Club champion shot 6 geese from semi-auto and 2 more our friends shot 3 geese using same d*mn machines. I guess the double gun advantage is obvious

Great photographs! Are those calls of your own making? Is that an FN or a Miroku that you are using? The second photograph shows a SxS with a sling leaning against the wall on the left side. What make & model?
Are you required to use steel or non toxic shot or can you still use lead? Here, the requirement for non toxic shot and initially the avaialabilty of only steel pellets and in some cases poor &/or unsuitable wads caused many people to stop using their doubles for waterfowl and geese to aviod damage to their guns. I have seen several FN's & assorted German doubles damaged at the muzzle from using unsuitable steel loads in them. In the worst cases the ribs have also come loose in addition to the bbls. being 'rung' at the chokes. Today, it is now the exception to see anyone shooting duck or geese with a double gun here.
Glad that your hunts were successful for you and your companions. It is always a pleasure to see your photographs.

Geno, Congrats on the geese and the fine shooting. Am I correct in assuming that you shot from the hide which is directly behind you in the first photo? Is that made by you or is it a commercial product? Is the regulation permitting Spring shooting a fairly recent development in your game management laws or is this a long standing tradition?

We got into the snow geese a little last month. I happened to be using a cheapie O/U 12 because I have not finished inletting a new buttstock on my old Nitro Special. There is no limit on these white geese as they are damaging their breeding grounds so special population-reduction seasons have been set up. I have always wanted to have a Benelli semiauto with magazine extension tube to better help with this effort! Other pic shows a good sized flock. Its nothing to see dozens of such flocks within sight of one another during the height of the migration.

Thank's! By order. These calls made by me. The gun is FN B-25. It's not SxS, it's O/U TOZ-34 and belongs to one of our friends who unfortunatly didn't kill any geese, he's beginner. We do not use steel or any other shots besides lead shot. . This hide made by me, my design, thou there are a lot of different commercial blinds for sale over here. Spring shooting is very long standing tradition over here. Geese, ducks (drakes only), woodcocks, capercaillie, cocks only.

Great Pictures! Looks like a fun hunt. Are the semi-autos being used Baikals? They've become very popular over here with waterfowlers.
BTW, do you make a lot of calls, or just a few for your own use? I know many people, myself included, that would be interested in finding some hand-made foreign calls.
What ducks and geese have you made calls for? What do the bean geese sound like? Do you have Canada geese over there, and do you make calls for them?
Thanks,
Todd
