Couple buggered screws, some checkering overruns, $27k? Sure. Why not.

I don't think this dealer has ever put anything within reason.

Thanks John. I missed that one.
From the looks of that gun, I would say it was made around 1910-1920. During this period, Beretta was pushing a lot of English made guns under their name.
I saw a Beretta cape gun on an Italian auction site. It sat there for months. Finally sold for around $100.
Too bad all the records are lost....

Sally seems to be under the influence of illicit narcotics
I have become addicted to English hammered shotguns to the detriment of my wallet.

Does anyone believe this gun hasn't been refinished? It may have been rebarreled. The finish is simply not consistent with the condition of the "buggered up" screws, out of time screws, damaged forearm iron, etc. The rear sights seem to be new replacements (don't lie flat)and show the rifle barrel is very much out of "regulation", by having the "V" filed very much off center. I simply have a hard time believing Beretta would have accepted such work. This seems to be worse than simple over pricing. Mike

Indiscriminate use of the "soft lens" makes me suspicious.
