What is the difference between the S3 and the SO3? Is there a difference in value/price? Anyone know the dates they were manufactured?

They are the same thing, I think. Ken Pendleton, the guy you bought that nice ASEL 20 from will know for sure. Call him. He will be glad to hear from you. He's a real good guy.

A friend who shot Springer Field Trials with me had a Beretta which was bought in Britain (which I thought was an S3) was an O/U with a double Kersten Lock

Doesn't a Kersten locking mechanism include two extension ribs with holes in them to receive the locking bolts? No Beretta over under I have seen includes such a system.

Bill - Exactly what I'm describing. I'm wondering if it was a model built for Britain and the Continent. This gun had a straight grip. The man who shot it was a legendary trial gun
