Anyone here get this? Proxibid Stoeger

Based on my meager experience, I had identified this as a Stoeger stocked 03. Actually had a prebid of $650 in (had the early "lead" @600. but they awarded it onsite to someone for my max. No response, nor do I expect one, from the auction company and the Proxibid operator. Such is the luck of the draw I guess.

I based my deduction on the MP Stoeger I got from Amoskeag and this thread. Stoger

So for my education, am I correct in identification? I thought it would clean up into a decent representative of a Stoeger to go with my other one.

It sure looks like a Stoeger stock, but I wonder how many
times it has been refinished. It looks like someone removed
the iron sights and filled in the gap left by the removal
of the Lyman 48. The checkering doesn't look all that good. It might have been your lucky day not to have gotten it.

As regards auctions like this in Wisconsin, they charge sales tax
to in state buyers, consequently, it is about the same cost
for a Wisconsin resident to buy the rifle onsite as it would be for someone to buy it from proxibid and have it shipped, and worse for a resident from some other part of the state to buy
it via proxibid and have it shipped.
