About a month ago I picked up this 1917 stock on ebay, even with the poor photos it appeared to have possibilities. The inletting is well done as is the borderless checkering, no cheekpiece and smooth steel buttplate with spur. Ideas anyone on the stockmaker? Fixed photobucket folder will load now more photos http://s36.photobucket.com/user/james-l/library/1917%20stock?sort=4&page=1

I learn something every day, and a lot of times it's that what I learned the day before was wrong

James, have you peeked under the grip cap or butt plate? Mike

I have no idea who made it, but I suspect they had a copy of Lindens third booklet. Nice looking stock.

A lot of the older 1917 sporter stocks end up having thin wrists and funny looking lines. That one is very nice in all respects. Great find.
