On another post I read that the charming Mr T..that venerable, cheery & gregarious Gaffer of the Stock makers bench is hanging them up The post alluded to him perhaps having been ill, but getting better. Had noticed his lack of posts for a good while,,,any news??? I spent two wonderful afternoons there, once with a friend who was having something done to his Browning S]Posed wood & again a few years later looking at a nice William Ford duck gun his mate Old Doc from Fox Hill had there. It was amazing, like being in a Dickens novel. I got to check out that old Purdey stock he hollowed out to like a 3/16 shell,& he got way up in there! If you read thts David, hope you are well n having fun cheers Franc

Yes, David was laid up for a while but he is doing much, much better now. He spent some time in rehab for a spell following a bit of surgery but is back home and enjoying it quite a lot. I visit him as often as I can and just sent him his complimentary copies of the spring issue of Parker Pages for the article in which he had resurrected a fine old 20 ga. Parker Grade 3 hammer gun. What a wonderful talented man he is. But he did tell me that he is about retired now.

Thanks for posting the links to the photo albums Drew. I especially love this one, captioned: Wellington the English Stocker
