Thanks for all the replies, I've never gotten into reloading but I'm seriously considering it. Just have some things to learn.
Thanks Joe

Thanks Joe Shotgun shells are pretty simple stuff. A single stage MEC 600 Jr. is all you need for hunting.

Kent's TM too stout for my older guns. I handload bismuth for $1.32 a shell from old stock. Hear Kent is coming out with bismuth load later this year.
Mystery to me why Kent gave up 2 1/2-inch TM fibre wad 1 1/16 ounce which all was required for decoying ducks. The big boom-bang is unnecessary. I suspect it was a matter of sales, the load did not sell in comparison to other options

If you do get into reloading, and you're going to shoot puddle ducks over decoys, Bismuth 4's or 6's will do. If you are going to shoot divers or geese, I'd druther use ITX 2's.

I shoot my reloaded bismuth 1 1/8oz out of all my vintage Damascus and steel guns. I load 1 1/4oz for my 10ga guns. I used 10 boxes of Rio bismuth this year and was very happy. I can't reload bismuth for what Rio sells it for especially when it went on sale at Academy Sports this last fall. The best non-tox in my opinion is Kent TM. I use it in my Super Fox only.I use it for late season mallards and it is very deadly and patterns very well in my Super. I look forward to Kent Bismuth and will give up reloading 12 GA if it becomes readily avaliable and priced competitively with Rio.

Hand loaded 16ga.
7/8ths of #5 Bismuth has worked well the last couple of years on puddel ducks, divers, and Canada geese. I have some #2's rolled up, but have not found I need the extra umph yet.
Life is too short to have a 'hate on' for so many things or people. Isn't it?

As someone who has never reloaded but is seriously considering it, is it even worth looking into for non-toxic loads? From the savings standpoint. Thanks Joe
