Purchased with the idea of excising the 'pad' in the cut-out and inletting a new piece of wood. Now I am debating the idea. Not really sure any repair will increase the value enough to justify the time. Mike

A straight stock too. Go figure. That's just where I want to mount a trap gun, out there on my shoulder joint... Trapshooters do this serially, leaving a wake of restoration projects.
