This guy has agreed to be my engraver, in case any others need lettering recut, actions refreshed or repaired, etc. He'll fabricate an appropriate jig to hold barrels, as the angles need to be varied quite a bit to properly recut lettering. He's located in a small town right outside the Quad Cities. If any of you contact him, be sure you mention you got his info from "Ken in Maqouketa". Regards Ken http://halloranengraving.com

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.

"Midwest's Finest", just ask Tim.
Your engraver, but you are willing to share him? That's nice. There are quite a few in the FEGA that have already achieved "master" status, some in the midwest, check the site at: fega.com

Their list is out of date. Tim responded to me after I posted on the Lindsay engraving forum. It's not a matter of merely locating an engraver, but finding one willing to do this specific type of work. Gee, I'm so happy you deigned to respond, despite the snarky condescension. Thanks for your input. Regards Ken

I just love it when folks call themselves, "The Finest" best, penultimate or superlative of choice. I know a lot of those "Master" but don't recall any of them referring to themselves with superlatives
I like it even more when client use the possessive to describe "Their" gunsmith, engraver, shoemaker, meter maid, lawyer, or what ever specialty they own.
Sorry to offend you Ken, I was snarky... I'm happy that you found someone to do the work you wanted. BTW: What do you do?
