For a Factory Letter for your two SBT's, write to Savage Arms Historical Information, 100 Springdale Rd., Westfield, MA 01085.
I believe the cost is $45.00 per for a graded gun, like your SBT, and $35.00 for Sterlingworths'.

The A.H. Fox Collectors Association, Inc. has photocopies of the graded gun production cards, including the SBTs. http://www.foxcollectors.com/ah_fox/content/Dues paying members of the AHFCA get one free look up per year, and additional look ups are $25. Members make their request on the "Memebers Only" forum on the web site, one of the board members makes a jpeg of the card and emails it to the member. A lot faster then getting a letter from Savage once your membership is processed.

Also, It took me 15 yrs to just find one! (J-grade)!

Probably the finest L- and M-Grades in existence are coming up in the fall Julia's Auction, and they are consecutive serial numbers. On 19 September 2005, when I was driving cross country I stopped at the Cabelas in Owatonna, MN, and they had three Fox SBTs in the Gun Library -- J 400195, L 400515 and M 400476.

I think I saw those Foxes, , Researcher. I stopped into that Cabelas that year and it's the only time I've seen Fox single barrel guns. Saw three that time.
