Thought For The Day....... Nash Buckingham owned more than one Winchester 21. In all of his writings that I have read, he never mentioned having a problem with shooting a single trigger SxS. Nash was a shooter.

4 BTW, Mike Boyd discussed with me his thoughts about adding thin wall chokes to HIS 3" 21
What were his thoughts? I'd be interested to hear.

It is also noted that "Bo-Whoop" was a two triggered gun. After its loss when it was replaced by Bo-Whoop #2 he always resented the fact a mistake had been made & it was built with a single trigger. If you're going to use Nash, you need to take it all.

2-piper; I think you may be misinformed. The picture of Bo-Whoop no. 2 on the cover of "Mr. Buck, An Autobiography" shows a double trigger gun with a pistol grip....Bo-Whoop no. 1 was a straight grip gun which Nash preferred, but had no problem with the different stock style. Both Bo-Whoops were double trigger guns. Nash shot double guns, is pictured with a Merkel O/U .410, and shot pump guns in his long career; my point being, a shooter like Nash could use any style of shotgun and perform well with it. The original question concerned altering a Winchester 21 from single trigger to double trigger to hunt with at Beaver Dam....I would just be grateful for the opportunity to hunt in Nash Buckingham's footsteps with any duck gun I had.

2 Piper, Bo Whoop #2 was not built with a single trigger. However, I would be happy to own it with a single trigger.

2-piper,
Nash had no say-so in the creation of BoWhoop2, as far as I have been able to determine. He did not commission it, but it was built and given to him by friends after the loss of BW1.

I would keep Model 21 original. Good news is Joe J. with about 40 years of gun peddling experience said the prices of Model 21s will remain high for long time due to demand. This should make Winchester Model 21 owners happy.

Jagermeister, you will never own a Model 21, so it would be impossible for you to change the original condition of one, other than by water-logging the stock by drooling on it at Cabelas.
You still don't own any doubles, do you? That's a shame. How do you deal with envy and desire for guns you want, but can't have? Are you consoled by your toy stuffed animals?
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.
