I had the occasion the other day to get to the back of my safe and retrieved a Gun I have not looked at for a while. It is a 1914 Grade 7E Flues model single barrel trap gun in 99+% original condition. It did as well as I did at 50 trap targets. I know I am biased toward its beauty BUT thought a few here might like to see what came out of the Ithaca factory in that era.

I really like the double border on the checkering. I never could determine which of the Hallams did this style. Maybe Jim?? Squad mate Ed Harvey was especially taken with the heart design at the comb--but Ed has a fondness of all things from the heart! Also note the two lines per inch seen on the fore end.
The gun is the one with the "Perkins Shock Absorber" pad that Dr. Drew so kindly researched. BTW it has a 34 inch full choke barrel and is chambered for 2 3/4 inch ammo.

Ithaca Flues Grade 6 SN 306127 T was shipped to John S. Boa on August 2, 1919. It has a 32 inch barrel, weight 8 lbs. and 2 oz., straight English stock, LOP 14 1/2", DAH 2", DAC 1 3/4", Full Choke and a 2 3/4” chamber.

Especially attractive FE checkering

It is possible the gun was ordered by Boa for his cousin, A. Steward Boa

Dr. Drew-thank you for the supplementary material.

Skeettx- The last 5E Knick was engraved by Bill Mains 6/9/82, the last $grade was about the same time but I have misplaced the date. Both where in stock about 1985 isn when I got serious about doing a book.

The 7E engraving and checkering patterns did not change much over their production. I will post a 7E Knick photo when I can find it in my photofils.
