I spoke with Kevin McCormick about doing some work for me last weekend at the Baltimore Antique Arms Show. He is certainly still active. He may have been busy with the show and missed your message.
Wow, thank you, guys, for these good leads!
I was at the Baltimore Show on Sunday, looking for people who can do case work. Out of the many vendors I approached, one person, Jim McPhail, could think of a name. Jim directed me to John Bugden in KY, and Marvin Huey, of course. Both these craftsmen are in the same mid-West region, far from own area.
If only I had crossed paths with Kevin there at the show...I even had the case with me. He is the most convenient to my location, not only proximal but close to a location I visit frequently.
I will call Kevin again and see if we can connect. If not, then I will try one of the others. The rifle that goes in the subject case is a .577 destined for hog hunting in the South, and so on our drive southward, we can always deviate a bit to drop off the case, need be.
Thanks again, men
