This acquisition was the last to complete my getting at least one example of the 5 manufacturers (LC Smith,Parker,Fox,Lefever,Ithaca) I've always wanted to have together in my modest collection.

Laytham was very fussy about his lettering and he scribed two lined to help him do that. I can see those lines on your gun. His style was told to me by Robert Runge Jr. who knew him.

As a tribute to American makers an early example from Baker Gun & Forging Co is most certainly worth consideration. John
