Our friend canvasback is a good guy. He'd be welcome company anywhere. He's honest and authentic, tells it like he sees it. No one can quarrel with that. He has the respect of his adversaries and love of his friends.

Our friend canvasback is indeed telling it like he sees it King:

Actually King, I think it's more your dishonesty than anything else. What further proof do we need than your actions here over the last 24 hours or so. Once again, you made your lying, dishonest, and disingenuous case for keeping this forum free from politics and non-double gun subjects. Then you immediately followed that bullshit with SEVENTEEN NON-DOUBLE GUN POLITICAL POSTS

How do you explain that lie King? Well if past history is any indicator, you will pretend you didn't see this. And your pathological mental state doesn't permit you to see or acknowledge your dishonesty even when your nose is shoved directly into it.

By the way, the cost differential for Health Care in the U.S. versus other nations is one of my biggest problems with the Liberal Democrat approach to National Health Care. With ObamaCare, they simply threw a LOT more money at the problem without any effort to question why costs have exceeded the annual general inflation rate by 2 1/2 to 3 times for decades, or to reduce those already inflated costs. The double digit cost increases afterward should be no surprise to anyone. King and rocky mtn bill won't even mention them.

The exact same thing has happened with education. We spend more on public schools per pupil than any nation on earth, and have diminishing returns and lower academic performance.

With teachers like rocky mtn bill, is that any surprise? But he and his fellow anti-gun Liberal Democrats think we should spend even more. And just look at the insane increases in tuition (and massive taxpayer funded subsidies) at colleges and universities... more bastions of Liberalism.

I do hope that rocky mtn bill appreciates that I moved his off-topic anti-Republican crap to his own thread in the Classic Rifle forum. I'm pretty sure that is where he meant to post it instead of polluting the double gun forum again.

As canvasback said earlier, the typical Liberal solution is to raise taxes and then piss even more money down the rathole, and pass the costs (plus interest) on to our kids and grandkids. Democrats, who make a huge deal about separating a few kids from illegal aliens and drug smugglers, seem to have no problem with screwing the future up for millions of our own kids, and making them slaves of the Socialist State in order to pay the bill.

And make no mistake... all debt is paid. Just ask the people from the Socialist Republic of Venezuela. Despite having more oil wealth and oil reserves than the entire U.S., they are projected to be the first country in history to have an annual inflation rate of over ONE MILLION PERCENT this year. The good news is that obesity is way down because people cannot afford food.

Stan,
we subsidize other nations citizens at the cost of our own all the time. It is a big problem here at our Community Hospital with Illegal aliens showing up and having no insurance or means to pay. Anchor babies are popular here. The hospital ends up taking it as a loss and the rest of us end up paying more. Hardly unique to Canada.

Speaking of health care and Canadians. Our dairy farmers were not the only winners. Pharmaceutical companies did very well with our Administration pressuring both Canada and Mexico to increase the amount of time a drug remains under patent protection keeping generics off the market longer and increasing costs to consumers. Canada went from 8 to 10 years and Mexico went from 5 to 10 years. The Administration pushed hard for 12 years patent protection but settled at 10 years. Some winners for sure but not the consumer in this cases.

I'm not sure what your point is. Everyone knows Canada is a key player, but Mexico is known to be the world leader in pharmaceutical research and development. More US minimum wage knock off jobs lost to our neighbors, because we're so good at running sweat shops, eh? Want it both ways huh Steve, you're willing to export a high end custom gun, but look down your nose at stamped out cookie cutter imported auto pistols?

What prevents you from seeing that Kings 'free' healthcare just cost his taxpayers a bit more to the benefit of US workers and trade balance? Besides, isn't this administration clearing the path to get these products, that benefit the consumer, to the market quicker? All that means is your ten year countdown is literally starting years earlier, eh?

Stan, I think its just a case of KB tripping over his own BS.

And from being around my fair share of Canadians 4 or 5 months out of the year (who just happen to migrate to FL every year for some reason) - the Canadians - everyone of them poor mouth their health care system.

Ummm.... in a word, no. This administration is working hard to be sure pharmaceutical companies maintain record profits, not to bring more affordable options to consumers.

Craig this has nothing to do with the cost to Canadian consumers. This is about keeping affordable options off the US market. Protectionism at its worst.

Well maybe....we could talk about the disaster called ethanol. Now that was a hug give away for votes. I bet your fine with that though. Those are important votes with the mid terms just around the corner.

We call that vote buying through entitlements when the Democrats do it. I'm sure the name is much more palatable when Republicans do it.

I posted earlier but deleted it, but since we are already down that hole.....
I live in Downeast Maine the border is literally 20 minutes from the house, my wife works in the healthcare field and rest assured roughly 20% of the patients are Canadians, they come here to get basic screenings, not because its cheaper, because its faster and we have better qualified specialists. The que system for healthcare is crazy, basic screenings can take 7 to 9 months, plenty of time for cancers to metastasis before they are found. I wont trade our current system for theirs and I'll fight to keep ours, granted things need to change, but not that drastic!

Members couldn't miss that keith started this political thread and used it to make false accusations of members who don't agree with him. Members couldn't miss that there was a respectful and informative conversation until his trolling intruded again above.
