Those AYA 4/53 boxlocks have really soared in price, even converting Canadian $ to US $. I bought a new one a few (3, if I recall correctly) years ago for less than half of that.
No doubt!!! My first AyA 4/53 was bought brand new around 2001 for $1600. I toss & turned for at least a month trying to decide whether I wanted the AOC Uggie or the 4/53. I ended up with the 4/53 because a certain dealer in Houston threw in a trunk case and had Briley open the chokes to what suited me.
To say they’ve soared in price would be an understatement!!!! The AyA #2 I bought about a year after that.....I believe for $2500 has also sky rocketed in price. Too rich for my blood. Good guns, but not at the current prices.
